Our Mission

1.Vision:


 NIBDA believes that disable people also have rights to live with dignity as rest of the people living.


2. Mission:


 To make disable people capable through participation in different vocational training and technical education, so as to ensure their access on health, education and employment matters.


3. Broader objectives


To support to uplift economic and social status of disable people by providing opportunities and vocational training.


To build the organisational capacity of NIBDA by sharing, participating, and networking among organisations of disables.


  To increase access to governmental and non-governmental resources by creating and participating various opportunities like fundamental rights.


  To raise awareness regarding democratic exercise and bring them in mainstream of development through active participation in different floras at different levels.


To make life easier and easy access by developing assistive device technologies and aids. To link up NIBDA with International agencies to establish NIBDA and its own CBR centres.

5. Right holders:

A. The NIBDA will focus are beneficial services to the following problem groups:




Person with disability

Persons with the risk to become blind

Persons with Low Vision

Totally blind persons

Deaf-blind persons

Multiple handicapped persons

Orphans, abandoned and disables childrens

  

B. NIBDA will cooperate with GO's, NGO's and INGO's, who will be funding partners, or partners of consultation or action, to perform its programs.


C. NIBDA will actively encourage donors within the country to participate in its work. The donors will be Individuals, companies, and government institutions. Income generating activities Health Education Networking and linkages












Research

Different types of research activities that related to disability will be conducted to identify
the situation and problems which will be addressed based on the findings and
incorporated while policy formulating and programme designing. A survey will be
conducted to collect baseline information of disability in collaboration with Nepal
Government and like minded organisations.





NIBDA has been
trying to improve health status, need social security, economic upliftment,
improve education status, capacity building of disables and mutual respect
through its activities.

NIBDA believes
that education status, economic status and social status are the leading factor
which helps to them live with the dignity in the society.
